According to data from Counterpoint Research, the year 2019 saw Indian smartphone industry grow by 7% with an influx of Chinese brands which stiffened the competition with their aggressive pricing and promotional marketing strategies to woo the consumers. Vivo with its power packed budget phones including the Vivo mobile under 10000, Vivo U10, grew by 76% in 2019. The company also registered 132% growth in the last quarter of the year with the festive season in full swing. The company has been at the forefront of feature specific phones at low price points which are quite popular with Indian smartphone users.

Another mobile brand which has registered unprecedented sales of 255% last year in India is Realme. Known for launching phones with features that are pioneering for others to follow in their steps, Realme phones offer value-for-money with impeccable design. However, when it comes to the fastest growing brands, Apple can’t be far behind.
iPhone 11 saw record sales in 2019 with consumers queueing in front of stores to be the first ones to have a look at the smartphone. The company emerged as one of the fastest-growing brands in the fourth quarter of 2019 due to reduction in prices on the XR device which is now being manufactured locally in India.
