For a taxpayer in India, the permanent account number (PAN), made available by the Indian Income Tax Department in the form of a laminated PAN card is one of the most important financial documents. As per rule 114B, there are various financial transactions for which quoting of PAN has been made mandatory, and is thus invaluable for Indian citizens.

One must first go to the online portals of NSDL or UTITSL, and click on “Reprint PAN Card” option. Choose the option to download e-PAN card for free of charge (for PANs given/changes made by the Income Tax Department in the last 30 days), and then enter the required details, such as the PAN number, Aadhaar card details, and date of birth. Afterwards, you are required to make the payment through net banking, debit/credit card or DD. It costs Rs. 50 to dispatch the PAN card within India, and Rs. 959 for dispatching the PAN card outside the country.
Once the payment is done, the individual will receive an acknowledgement with a unique 15-digit number for further correspondence.
Once the verification is done, the PAN card will be dispatched to the registered address, which will reach within 15 days.
